I just love these dainty, elegant engagement rings from EidelPrecious.  Eidel means "precious" and is the middle name of this amazing jewellery designer.

The best word to describe this jewelry would be "delicate".

They use tiny diamonds for the rings and sets them using quite sophisticated and unusual technique known as "cat`s claw".   Cat Claw is a very small 4-claw setting where claws are almost invisible and look more like pave.  This method is really unique and allows diamonds to stand out; you wouldn`t see gold trims, just sparkling diamonds!

EidelPrecious is very fond of sapphires as center stones. They exist in so many hues and I can`t decide which one I like the best...

Hi All,

I have just received my finished logo from Susan at Logo Lane on Etsy.

The service was amazing and the package came with my logo, letterhead, business card, labels, banners, cards and much more.  If anyone is interested in having their logo designed, I would not hesitate to recommend Logo Lane.

So what do you think of my designs!?!

I met an amazing chef at the First Comes Love Bridal Expo and wanted to share her details.  Helen has a background in French Fine Dining and offer cooking lessons.

One of my favourite ideas that Helen has is offering an MYO Wedding Cake.  What a wonderful opportunity for your Aunty, Mother, Sister, Best Friend to be able to make your wedding cake that looks fabulous, tastes great and most importantly contains so much love!  It is also extremely affordable!  I was lucky enough to be able to sample Helens White Chocolate, Grand Marnier & Raspberry Cake - pure heaven on earth!!!

Helen hosts french cooking classes at a rate of $55/hour (2 persons max).  What an interesting idea for birthday gifts, wedding gifts, anniversary gifts for your family and friends (or even yourself)!

Helen has also put together a corporate package for team building events.  If anyone is looking for a fabulous and delicious team building activity for the cooler months - what could be better then learning to Confit Duck Leg with orange-anise sauce followed by Rum & Raisin Tarte Tatin with home made icecream!

Helen has a great website with a list of food in her repertoire that makes your mouth water just reading.  Check her details out on her website  www.cooklearnelove.com and she also has a facebook page.
Unless you and your fiancé are professional models (or you have a camera crazy partner like myself), it is unlikely you will have had much experience in front of a camera.  Trust me when I say that the average wedding day produces 800+ photos and you will be in most of them!

An engagement shoot is a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, work out what feels good and looks good for you and also get to know the photographer so you can forget about it all on the actual wedding day.

Not to mention it’s a great way to have fun with your fiancé, and get some great shots of the two of you!

If you are interested in my pricing packages for portrait shoots, engagement shoots, family shoots or newborns please use my contact form and I will send one through to you! xx
Mariana Hardwick Luxe collection offers an extravagant range of bridal gowns constructed to the highest standards of European bespoke couture.

This elegant, refined, collection has a focus on luxurious fabrication and intricate hand detailing.
A Mariana Hardwick gown is timeless.  Inspired by the grand couturiers of the past, Mariana Hardwick’s designs have a distinctly contemporary orientation.  I adore the Luxe Collection and the sweet photos for this collection.

Today I went along to the "First Comes Love" Expo at the Oxford Hotel.  It was a sweet little event that was created with much love and attention.

The collection of wedding suppliers was adorable and I had a wonderful opportunity to meet some very special people that I will be taking the time to talk to and possibly add to my preferred suppliers listing.

With such a little venue and many brides to be in attendance, I only took a handful of photos.  Given the title of 'alternative' bridal expo, I have given the photos an aged look to them.

First Comes Love (and then comes marriage) is an alternative bridal fair for people planning pledges with parties – chock full of sweetness and sass, inspiration and independent retailers.  We celebrate creativity and pooh-pooh carbon-copy weddings.  You’ll find an extraordinary collection of exhibitors upstairs in the lovely old Oxford Hotel, smack dab in the middle of the bridal mile in Mt Hawthorn and Leederville.

Today I went along to the Perth Bridal Expo at Burswood.  This was an opportunity for me to meet and review some of my preferred suppliers, as well as see new and interesting trends in the wedding industry.

I have to say, I was surprised at the sheer number of attendees!  The expo was full of brides, bridesmaids, mother-in-laws and one or two hesitant and overwhelmed grooms.

I did meet a few suppliers and contacts that I felt a great connection too and would love to work with in the future.  A couple in particular are:

1.  Clare Henderson - Marriage Celebrant

Living 5kms north from the CBD, I'm happy to travel north and south of the river.  My fee is fair and reasonable, mid-level range.

I would love to have the opportunity to meet with you, and look forward to hearing from you soon!

2.   Kuste Kombis - A fully restored 1966 classic split screen Kombi!

Küste Kombis is a business created with a recipe that includes the love for Kombis and the joy they bring to people, the recognition of the demand for a West Coast Kombi charter vehicle and the desire to provide everyone with the opportunity to experience the Kombi feeling.
The name Küste Kombis was born from a long discussion session where hundreds of names got thrown on the table.
Küste  (pronounced “koo – st – u”) means coast in German and we saw it quite fitting to incorporate a piece of the history of the Volkswagen Kombi into our business name.

3.   Orriss Films - Cinematic Wedding Photography

About Duane:
I am passionate about creating films my clients love.

As a kid I loved playing with video camera’s. I remember when my parents would hire a camera from the local camera store to make a home movie, and I wouldn’t stop filming all day!  When I got a little bit older, I continued to pursue my interest in film, and purchased a small cam corder.  I went crazy making every sort of film, movie and video clip.  Any excuse to use my camera! Eventually I purchased a professional quality camera and not long after, Orriss Films was born.

I consider it an incredible privilege to be a part of such a special moment in a persons life.  The joy that surrounds each wedding inspires me to create films that can capture that moment, and preserve it.  I would love to think that their kids and even grandkids would be able to look back on their parents wedding day and experience the moment just as they did.

I aim to make my films an individual expression of each couple.  I want people to watch my films and feel like they are not only a part of the day, but a part of that couples journey.

Duane Orriss, Founder of Orriss Films

Influenced by European design and inspired by the beautiful and illustrious Indian culture the range includes small luxury accommodation tents to ‘spacious canopied rooms’ ideal for large weddings & corporate events.

An amazing example of their work is when Lydia Tsvetnenko, the wife of the Russian Millionaire, called on Villa Kula to create the most extraordinary luxe lounge club setting for her husbands surprise 30th birthday party on the rivers edge at Burswood on the Swan for 150 close friends and family.

VK thoroughly enjoyed working with all suppliers including the boys from LUX Lighting, Statewide Staging, Corpra Hire, Ray Mangano from Superior Sounds and the venue at Burswood on Swan.
